People will always have something to say. Even the people that are the closest to you will sometimes be the ones to hurt you the most. The words that come out of their mouth have the power to cut you deep. You now have a choice to believe what they are saying or ignore it. You also have a choice to love individuals from a distance. Not. every every environment is conducive to your growth. Stop allowing what people say about you dictate your actions. Stop allowing what people say about you control your emotions. Think about the reason you allow these words or any specific person/s and/or group of people to to have so much power over you.
I was taught a lesson recently and you know what I realized? I was giving people to much control over my emotions. People that held no relevance to my life. I also realized there was truth to what was being said about me BUT that was not the whole story. That was not the big picture. So here I am allowing someone that knows 1/4 of my story dictate my emotions and actions. Someone that is standing from the outside looking in is now calling the shots. When you think about it, it makes no sense. I had to eventually pray about it and I gave all those negative feelings and thoughts to God but at first I was pissed. I was so irritated and frustrated all at once. You know it is real when you are calling up your friends to vent. Then my friend reminded me that it is a spirit activating in them that is meant to irritate my spirit and that’s exactly what it did. If I was supposed to be passing a test I definitely failed. I’m pretty the person that made the comment concerning me was not even bothered and there I was huffing and puffing about to ruin my day because of this one person.
Don’t ever let the enemy catch you slipping. Especially when you know better. When you know better, you do better and I definitely knew better but in the moment I chose to not to focus on what I knew but only on what I heard and what I was feeling. In that moment I allowed flesh to have its way. No matter what people may have to say you keep going. You have to rise above the outside noise because no matter where you go, there will be noise.
Things to Remember:
-There will always be outside noise(good and bad)
-You give and take away control
-Just because it was spoken, does not make it true
-We wrestle NOT against flesh and blood but against principalities (Ephesians 6:12)
